| Under the minimum bid? |
Top... |
| This means that your bid is below the minimum price the seller is asking for. Just place a bid higher.
|
| I have been outbid? |
Top... |
| This means that your bid is lower than another users bid. The higher bid will be accepted until another bid is higher. Usually the other bidder has placed a Proxy Bid, i.e. when you the seller set the Proxy at $??? the bid is increased as one bidder places his bid and another places his bid to out bid the other, thus would be back two times higher at the first Bidder. So please be careful about the Proxy figures. |

| How Does a Proxy Bid work? |
Top... |
| How Does a Proxy Bid work?
A proxy bid is bid entered for an auction that is usually an amount higher than the current bid. If others bid higher than your bid, will automatically place a bid for you, in the seller specified increments, always keeping your current bid at the lowest amount necessary to win the auction and keeps it there until somebody bids higher than you. Your bidding process will stop once it has reached your maximum as entered.
To keep the regular style auctions the seller just Optional Bid Increment empty. And the old style of biding for the item. When the auction is over then you may select the winning bider, and then make contact to the buyer and work out the terms as necessary with his PARK PLACE account. |

A style of bidding whereby the bidder takes the time to consider the absolute most he would pay for an item and places that bid one time. He knows that he will either win, or lose to somebody who was willing to pay more than he was. |
